In occasion of Milan Fashion Week Pollini presents a limited edition capsule collection of shoes and accessories created in collaboration with the textile company Antica Valserchio.
The iconic Cavaliere boot from the Pollini Archive collection and the tote bag, a best seller from the recent seasons, are made with upcycled materials: leather and wool threads are intertwined by the ancient method of hand weaving, an artisan technique that makes the final product precious and one of a kind.
The Antica Valserchio capsule for Pollini is available in four variants and is part of the new Fall Winter 2022 collection that tells a unique story of tradition, craftsmanship and experimentation. The most iconic Pollini styles are revisited, and new silhouettes are introduced. Close attention to detail is given to the materials and to the search for new and intriguing combinations.
The historic Cavaliere boot becomes over the knee, the cremino sole is the base for playing with new volumes and new shapes, and the beloved brushed calf loafer is alternated with a more eccentric version with pony hair or python calfskin printed inserts. The Pollini logo stud and the double logo horsebit decorate the various styles. The daytona sole characterizes the heeled moccasins and boots and, for lovers of the outdoors, is enriched with padding, and lacing with hooks and eyelets.
The collection also offers a wide variety of boots with tread soles, and of a tight or tube fit.
The colors reflect seasonal hues ranging from burgundy to cuoio, sand and nudes as well as more vibrant contrasting touches of fuchsia, orange, ivory and red. The same close attention is paid to the union of modernity and tradition, and can be found within the leather goods offerings. In addition to the most popular styles, there are new shapes, characterized by geometric lines, a play on different cuts and unusual combinations of colors and materials.

The final results will be evaluated by a panel of judges composed of journalists, influencers and the company board; the most interesting projects will then be presented to the students of the BA course in Fashion Styling and Creative Direction to develop a multi-channel communication strategy in collaboration with the company for the launch of the collection.
Marco Piazzi – Pollini General Manager - states:
"The accessories field has evolved considerably over the course of the years, therefore an exchange of knowledge and skills with the new generations is crucial. We are certain that the collaboration with Istituto Marangoni can be strategic in order to discover and cultivate new talents who know how to reinterpret Pollini's codes and support the stylistic evolution that the brand has been undertaking now for several seasons".
Paolo Meroni – Director of Education of Istituto Marangoni - asserts:
"Accessories is the category that is making an increasingly important impact on the fashion business. The collaboration with Pollini allows us to continue our intent in creating connections between creativity and business, while training managerial figures and highly specialized and sought-after designers".
